Cash on Delivery for groceries: how it works with BYTO Home

BYTO Home accepts Cash on Delivery. Learn how to pay the rider, what the total includes, and how refunds work if something goes wrong.

Not everyone wants to pay for groceries online — and that is fine. BYTO Home accepts Cash on Delivery (COD): you place the order, and pay the rider in cash when it reaches your door. UPI and card payments are planned for later.

How COD works

  • Place your order — no advance payment.
  • The total you see at checkout is what you pay: items, any delivery and handling fee, taxes, minus any coupon.
  • Check your items, then hand the amount to the rider.

What if something is wrong?

Tell the rider at delivery, or contact us within 24 hours — from Help & support in the app or website, or at support@bytohome.com. If an item is missing, damaged, spoiled, expired or wrong, or you were charged incorrectly, we refund it. Refunds are paid by UPI or bank transfer, or as credit on a future order, normally within 3–5 working days of approval.

Because we deliver fresh food, we do not accept returns or exchanges once an order is delivered. The full rules are on our Returns & Refunds page.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel any time before it is packed, at no charge. Once a rider is on the way, an order generally cannot be cancelled.
